I saw Bodys' work this summer at the NYC MoMA and had never heard of him before. Not only is his art brilliant, but learning about who he was as a person and why he created his art was also fascinating. I had never known what life was like for people in the Congo before. Bodys is deeply spiritual and concerned over the future of his city, and these elements emerge in very creative ways through his work. This book is good quality and full of good photos of Bodys' work. I hope his legacy will live on because I had never heard of him before seeing his work in the MoMA, but I am very blown away by him.
A great record of a wonderful exhibition
My daughter Mirella, who studied Urban Development, and myself went to see the related exhibition at the MOMA (I live in Manhattan, NY) and we loved it. I bought the book thru Amazon because it was so much cheaper!
