After years of enjoying this comic in my local newspaper, I gave this book to my Dad, the typical man-who-has-everything, and it was an instant hit. Had he been given the time, I think he would have breezed from cover-to-cover in one sitting. After reading through myself, it's clear to see why. Toomey taps into real human insight and creates hilarious, relatable characters that anyone could enjoy, including my Dad, who, fortunately, no longer has everything (meaning that I have the rest of this collection to purchase for the foreseeable few Father's Days).

Sherman and friends will continue to brighten your day with tales of the deep and the escapades they always seem so eager to get involved in.I have all 20 of these collections and the two Jim Toomey Treasury compilations. This #20 is a must have; you'll find yourself smiling the entire time it's in your hands.Sherman's #1 fan.

Jim Toomey does a wonderful job of bringing the ocean to life with Sherman, Fillmore, Hawthorne, Megan and all the others. I truly enjoy this comic strip. On occasion he will focus on an event concerning the sea, or a deep underwater location that you've always wanted to visit. He brings both of these environments to life with ease and humor.

I wish this artist's works were more widely distributed. At the top of his field. I have collected most of his compilations and have urged the local newspaper to run the strip.

Sherman's Lagoon is one of my favorite strips and this collection has a bunch of cartoons I don't remember seeing before. A lot of fun.
