I grew up watching "I Love Lucy" on television. This book had some parts of scripts that brought back good memories I enjoyed reading the Kindle version and looking at the photos that are included. It was interesting to learn how the show got started. I definitely recommend this book to all "I Love Lucy" fans.
I love how Oppenheimer tells an honest story. Was Lucy easy to work with? No, and he shows how. And show me any genius and I'll show you tough.
This book is more of a summary of the longer and more detailed book by the authors. I would recommend true "I Love Lucy" fans buy the unabbreviated edition
There is so much more to Lucy and Desi and the show. Plus so much more information you probably do not know about the two of them, their costars and the show.
I am a huge Lucille Ball & I Love Lucy fan, so I really enjoyed reading the stories about making the tv show. It's a short book & does drag on a bit in places where the writer copies in pages worth of dialogue from Lucy's radio show. But overall, a good read
Very informative. Many things I didn't know about the making of a television show, and how all the different types of people and personalitys came together to make it work.
I enjoyed reading this book about how I love Lucy came to be, dealing with a few of the episodes that were created even some of the conflict. This was from the producers perspective.
Was a nice read. I was a young boy when I Love Lucy was first aired and innocent to think it was more than a tv show, but a funny entertaining half hour. This book let's you become aware of behind the scenes how it all came to be.
