It is based on Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible: Flawed Women Loved by a Flawless God, and while it doesn't follow the book completely, it is a very useful video for small groups who would rather do the video than read through the book and accompanying workbook Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible Workbook: Flawed Women Loved by a Flawless God.Because this video does not break into chapters like the book and workbook, it is aimed at a different audience. I purchased it thinking that I could show clips from it with each of our lessons, but discovered that it was better to watch in whole than in part.A great purchase, but not necessary for the study itself.
I had read this and enjoyed it. Women of our church started a "Bad Girls Book Club" and we read it then had discussions once a week about each of the characters. We are doing the other Bad Girl books in the near future.
The book was good but for me it has been slower and less captivating than "Bad Girls of the Bible" or "Really Bad Girls of the Bible".Liz still has shown her wisdom in her writing, but I held a bit different opinions about how to interpret the verses and not always agreed with Liz 100%. But it would be really hard to have two people who would think alike:) But many translations did hit the mark of how I would interpret the verses. Her knowledge and researched subjects show in the book. Her language flows, but was not as much mesmerizing as her other two books. But I would recommend this book to everybody. It is enriching and makes you take a closer look at yourself. It makes you feel as a better person and encourages you to do well.
Liz Curtis Higgs' Bad Girls of the Bible series is second to none, and in my opinion the audio is even better than the book, because Liz is the reader. She's an accomplished speaker and the injections of humor are so well done. I also enjoyed the audio of "Bad Girls of the Bible" although it was abridged, and I hope Liz will eventually do an audiobook of "Really Bad Girls of the Bible."Liz brings these women to life and shows that although they and we are separated by many centuries, we're quite a bit alike. There's much we modern-day women can learn from those ancient girls and their trials and tribulations, and in the process, we can strengthen our own relationship with God.

The content is great but the quality of the DVD is horrible! plays like a bad bootleg copy of an old VHS tape! There is no title page, no ability to select chapters and absolutely no easy way to get back to where you left off if the bible study wants to discuss over more than one meeting! Once again REALLY HORRIBLE!
You'll want to read it quickly so you'll know the Bible connection right after the fiction story. It's hard to put down. After I got "Bad Girls of the Bible" I knew I had to get the other books to go with it. Since Amazon service is quick you'll have a chance to order one of the books and then before you're done and order another one you'll have it in the mail. Let me tell you you won't regret getting them.
