You could remove about 50 pages from this book and it would still be a slow read.He author rambles on about nothing trying to fill space.I found myself skimming trying to get to the better part of the story, thinking why am I reading this. This is just my thoughts, others might like it but I didn’t.Even the plot changes midstream.
Good characters good story line. I have read the entire series and have enjoyed them all. Keep then coming. Thanks
I have never come across such a whiny drama queen as Dillion. I’m done with this series.
There is very little nautical action in this book. It is mainly police detective action. The characters and their lives are interesting but there is no connection to the title. As a crime detective story, it is entertaining, except that at critical times in the hot action, the story goes into slow motion while Dillon has a mental discussion as he decides what he should do. Time seems to stop at these points in the story and then continues when he acts. There is too much philosophy style in some of the dialogs.
Thank you again Mr. Stone, for writing good books for us fans and readers. All of your books are written with good characters and you pull the reader right in to there adventure! Bravo, well done! ! I am looking forward to your next book!
When Charlotte goes missing and Dillon learns that she has been looking into surrendering her parental rights, Dillon and Rebecca go all in to find her and ffind out why she would consider surrendering Issac. Of course, Dillon ends up in the hospital again, and morethan once. This is another “can’t put it down†Dillon Storm investigation.
When I first read the title I expected more boating and water description from the book. Some parts of the book drag on and are less descriptive. Toward the end it becomes less descriptive. The antagonist character comes in quick and is ill defined. The description of the character as a surviving twin of a accomplished detective is a little weak. This is the second book of the character (and author) I have read and is somewhat similar in writing.
Getting to be way too predictable, with this guy. Time for me to find another author. I don't need another round of Dilliy's angst and Boomer telling him that he is TOO close to the case. Stone is a better writer than this.
