I was shocked that this was the final book. I only figured it out during the second to last issue of this trade.The art is fantastic. Sean Phillips does a great job with background, shading, clothing and tone. His facial expressions are decent and his action sequences are quiet good. He and Ed Brubaker have been working for well over a decade together, and they have hit a wonderful story telling rhythm.Ed Brubaker winds in a lot of social commentary into his writing, and there was a lot of it in this volume. It fits, except for maybe one section on climate change. Be aware that he leans left (not wildly), so if you don't want your comics to have social or political commentary, you want to avoid this.The story is fantastic. It always moves forward (much like "Breaking Bad").Really, really well done. Thanks gents.
The ending to Kill or Be Killed is amazing. I’m in shock how much I loved that ending. It came out of nowhere. It twisted and turned and... it was satisfying in an unsatisfying way. Like life. It just happens.This book feels like a lot of other “edge-y†first person narratives but, somehow, it feels so much better than any of that. The voice and the writing feels so authentic and so apt for our time.Everyone should read this.
Great story, art and colors - was bittersweet that it ended. Sign me up for the pre-order of their next series. Start with volume 1, of course; you'll enjoy the ride.

A nice ending to a good series
Awesome series. I'm sad to see it end with this volume! But I also love that Brubraker likes to do contained stories.
It took the second trade for me to enjoy this series, but then I was hooked.
I can’t say enough good things about Ed & Sean! These guys really told one hell of a story, very dark story that had me hooked from start to finish! I’ll read anything these two make!
