I bought this book for my dad last week and he absolutely loves it. I had been trying to find this particular book for him for a price that he wanted but couldn't find it. So he waited a little while and really wanted but couldn't find it period. So I looked on Amazon and found a someone who was selling it. This book is rare and out of print. My dad says the book is a great resource for cartridge and gun ammo information. This is a must have for any gun or rifle enthusiast like my dad and it's definitely worth finding and purchasing.
Extremely informative book on ammo, current issues and beneficial to any shooter or reloader. Even though this book was published some years ago; still provides insight to ammo, hunting and numerous other shooting factors. Great addition to my gun library.
I'm certainly no expert on this subject but I'm finding it a great resource. The cartridge display chart in the middle of the book was an unexpected added bonus for me.
Good book. A lot of guns were developed with specific ammo and visa versa. Ammunition history is almost as interesting as the weapons they were designed to work in. It's not complete by any means, but it's a pretty good collection and parts of the book are well written. I would not recommend it as a reference, but more of a history of ammunition. Good table book and gift. I keep going back to it, overtime I learn about a different gun or story.

Its a good read with lots of information on bullet types, ballistics knowledge etc. but missing a lot of cartridges. Although most people don't mind it , if you put the term "encyclopedia" on a book then you need to cover as many of cartridges as you can find. Other than that , nice book to have
